What is a disciple of Jesus? Are disciples of Jesus only limited to just the original 12 in the New Testament? Are there disciples of Christ today, and if so, what does that mean?

A disciple of Jesus is someone who believes and follows him. We are unlike the original 12 disciples who in the flesh were able to walk, talk, and followed Jesus. Disciples today are committed to following Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
Being a disciple means finding your personal relationship with Jesus. Believe in Him and know he has unconditional love for you. With that divine knowledge, it encourages you to live more Christ-like, which pours over on to others. Discipleship is not necessarily teaching and preaching to others about Christ. Discipleship is simply following Jesus because that is what he asks from us. Matthew 4:19
If you ask for all your sins to be forgiven and believe in Christ with all your heart, you are saved. You feel a commitment to follow Jesus daily, thus becoming a disciple. The Bible becomes food for your soul as you journey with a desire to learn about our Father and Son in Heaven. Let the Holy Spirit guide you as you follow Christ on your own personal journey as a disciple!
